A Piece of One Day : Pray
Part of the A Piece of One Day series,
a prayer piece formed by stacking fragments of my positive emotions.
Like shaping clay on a potter’s wheel with both hands,
each piece was carefully formed, one by one, using the wheel.
With sincere prayer, I pile up my happy memories and precious emotions.
I hope this work can be comforting to someone
who is in sorrow or going through a hard time in the dark.
어느날의 조각들 : 기도
어느날의 조각 시리즈의 기도 연작으로,
나의 좋은 감정들의 조각들을 하나씩 쌓아 올리며 드린 기도이다.
두 손으로 정성껏 흙을 다듬으며 물레를 차듯,
각각의 조각을 물레를 사용해 한 조각 한 조각 정성스럽게 다듬었다.
내가 갖고 있는 모든 행복했던 기억과 감정들을 기도하는 마음으로 쌓아본다.
슬픔 속에서 힘든 시간을 보내고 있는 누군가에게 이 작품이,
그리고 나의 기도가 작은 위로가 되기를 바라며.
